Leadership change at Shell

SHELL has appointed a veteran of its internatio­nal operations to be the next head of its North Sea business. Simon Roddy will succeed Steve Phimister, who has led the North Sea operation since 2017. Mr Roddy joined Shell as a petroleum engineer based out of Aberdeen in 1993. He is deputy managing director of its onshore oil and gas operation in Nigeria. Sinead Lynch, who has been Shell’s UK chair since September 2016, Sinead Lynch, will become head of low carbon fuels. She will be succeeded by David Bunch, who has held senior roles in Shell’s retail business.mr Phimister’s next job has not been announced.
