Tradition set in stone

THESE four men were said, in May of 1955, to be among the very last dressers of causeway stones in Glasgow. Adhering to the traditional method of knapping stones by hand, they worked in the open, in a yard just inside the entrance to Queen’s Dock, in Finnieston Street.
