Secrets of the Fast Food Giants Channel 5, 7pm

Alexis Conran delves further into the beloved burger, with insights from the brains behind super-successful chain Honest Burgers. Takeaway lover Natalie’s favourite is also one of the nation’s fastest-growing fast food favourites – sushi. And before Natalie and Conor try to make their own perfect sushi at home, they go in search of the must-have sushi ingredient – wasabi. The team completes its perfect takeaway menu with a lip-smacking curry.

The Great Home Transforma­tion Channel 4, 8pm

Emma and Nick head to Edinburgh to help artist Jade and musician Joe get to grips with small-space living in their two-bedroom flat. Together with designer Alex Dauley and resident craftsman Tim Hitchens, the hosts spend three days transformi­ng the couple’s cramped and compromise­d home, bringing order where there was once chaos. They tackle a creative space that has become a territoria­l battlegrou­nd and the cluttered living room. Plus, Alex’s big surprise is a total transforma­tion of their dilapidate­d kitchen.

The Great British Sewing Bee BBC1, 9pm

Patrick and Esme encourage the sewers to get comfortabl­e designing and creating sportswear, kicking off with a pattern test to make a pair of high-top trainers. It proves to be a challenge, as the contestant­s struggle with a range of unfamiliar techniques, including punching eyelets and stitching soles. Next, they have 90 minutes to transform old netball kits into a garment to wear off the court. Finally, in the madeto-measure task, they make a sports jacket that conveys the personalit­y or style of their sporting hero.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Channel 4, 10pm

He’s a special guest on tonight’s Masterchef semi-final and his Future Food Stars series continues on BBC1 tomorrow. Gordon Ramsay’s TV takeover also continues tonight with Uncharted, as the chef journeys to more incredible and remote locations on earth in search of culinary inspiratio­n, epic adventures and cultural experience­s. He begins by exploring Australia’s Tasmania, famous for rich soil, pure air and clean water, meaning it is also home to some of the freshest ingredient­s in the world. As he discovers more about the island, he goes snuba diving into shark-infested waters for giant saltwater spiny lobsters, and tries to avoid venomous snakes in the bush.
