Murder probe into death of woman, 26

A MURDER investigation has been launched into the death of a woman whose body was found at a house in West Lothian.

Police confirmed the development after the discovery on Saturday at a property in Learmonth Crescent, West Calder.

Officers were initially treating the death of Aimee Cannon, 26, as unexplained.

However, last night it emerged that a murder inquiry had been launched. In a statement reported by The Sun, Detective Superintendent Andrew Patrick said: “Aimee has been the victim of a brutal, sustained attack and we will have a continued police presence in the area while our investigation continues.”
