Busted’s Charlie Simpson on marrying their original pop-punk tunes to a more mature sound

The Herald - Arts - - COVER STORY -

SOMEONE should check Charlie Simpson’s pockets for a sports almanac receipt, because things have been weird ever since he ripped a hole in the space time continuum and rejoined Busted. While the world has gotten so weird that Back To The Future II is starting to look like a documentary, the band got their things back on track remarkably quickly. An arena tour confirmed that they have an audience and a smattering of new songs debuted gave the reunion some real credibility. The line in Year 3000 about everybody buying their seventh album has stopped sounding so far fetched.
