Ciftci sees red af­ter abus­ing the ref­eree

CELTIC flop Nadir Ciftci has been hit with a three-game ban and a £6000 fine from the Turk­ish FA for ver­bally abus­ing the ref, af­ter he was sent off in only his se­cond game for his loan club Eskise­hir­spor.

The Turk­ish striker has al­ready been forced to serve a six-match ban served on him by the SFA at the start of the sea­son af­ter a bit­ing in­ci­dent with Dundee’s Jim McAl­is­ter last term.

His loan move back to his home­land has got off to a ter­ri­ble start af­ter his lat­est mis­de­meanour.

Ciftci was sent off in his se­cond match against An­talyas­por af­ter re­ceiv­ing two yel­low cards in a minute and he gave ref­eree a vol­ley of abuse.

He was re­ported to the Turk­ish FA af­ter the out­burst and was given a three-game ban for ‘un­sports­man­like be­hav­iour to­wards the ref­eree’ and fined the ad­di­tional £6000.
