Ciftci sees red after abusing the referee
CELTIC flop Nadir Ciftci has been hit with a three-game ban and a £6000 fine from the Turkish FA for verbally abusing the ref, after he was sent off in only his second game for his loan club Eskisehirspor.
The Turkish striker has already been forced to serve a six-match ban served on him by the SFA at the start of the season after a biting incident with Dundee’s Jim McAlister last term.
His loan move back to his homeland has got off to a terrible start after his latest misdemeanour.
Ciftci was sent off in his second match against Antalyaspor after receiving two yellow cards in a minute and he gave referee a volley of abuse.
He was reported to the Turkish FA after the outburst and was given a three-game ban for ‘unsportsmanlike behaviour towards the referee’ and fined the additional £6000.
