Ayr United are going purple today in support of the estimated 54,000 Scots who have epilepsy.

To mark international Purple Day for epilepsy awareness, the team will wear their purple away strip for the home game against Stranraer. Fans are also being asked to wear purple to the game.

Ayr fan Jane Cassidy, whose daughter has epilepsy, said: “I asked the club if they would be winning to take part and they could not have been more enthusiastic.”
