Slat­tery shares lead in stormy Shen­zhen

ENG­LAND’S Lee Slat­tery is one of three co-lead­ers in the Shen­zhen In­ter­na­tional, which will fin­ish on Mon­day af­ter thun­der­storms in­ter­rupted the fi­nal round.

Slat­tery, South Korean Soomin Lee and French­man Alexander Levy were all 14 un­der by the time play came to an end on Sun­day. Slat­tery and Soomin both have five holes still to play, with Levy one be­hind.

Aus­tralian Scott Hend has the top club­house score, hav­ing com­pleted his fourth round six un­der to sit one stroke be­hind the lead­ing group.

Play will re­sume at 6.30am lo­cal time – the first Mon­day fin­ish in a reg­u­lar Euro­pean Tour event since the 2011 Sin­ga­pore Open.

Slat­tery ad­mit­ted he is run­ning low on en­ergy ahead of his fi­nal push for a third Euro­pean Tour win.

“It’s just been re­ally tough out there to keep your con­cen­tra­tion and keep your strength,” he said. “It is like two weeks in one; I’ll be glad to get it over.”
