Slattery shares lead in stormy Shenzhen
ENGLAND’S Lee Slattery is one of three co-leaders in the Shenzhen International, which will finish on Monday after thunderstorms interrupted the final round.
Slattery, South Korean Soomin Lee and Frenchman Alexander Levy were all 14 under by the time play came to an end on Sunday. Slattery and Soomin both have five holes still to play, with Levy one behind.
Australian Scott Hend has the top clubhouse score, having completed his fourth round six under to sit one stroke behind the leading group.
Play will resume at 6.30am local time – the first Monday finish in a regular European Tour event since the 2011 Singapore Open.
Slattery admitted he is running low on energy ahead of his final push for a third European Tour win.
“It’s just been really tough out there to keep your concentration and keep your strength,” he said. “It is like two weeks in one; I’ll be glad to get it over.”
