What is it?

A compact USB flash drive with smart wireless capabilities for the post-PC portable age.

The usefulness of technology invariably comes down to convenience in performing otherwise manual tasks, whether it's giving presentations over the web instead of jumping on a plane or microwaving a potato in five minutes rather than baking in the oven for 30.

Yet sometimes innovation can happen so quickly that it bypasses the simplistic things we take for granted: such as transferring files from one computer to another.

This scenario becomes a whole lot more complicated when you want to move that same file from an iOS iPhone to an Android Samsung without an internet connection.

SanDisk have recognised times have changed and updated their flash drive to include wireless connectivity.

Good points?

The ability to share a holiday snap instantly with a friend while still on the beach proves the concept in a real-world situation. Despite the change in connectivity, the Connect Wireless Stick is as simple to use as a regular flash drive.

You can also utilise its storage instead of wasting your smartphone's capacity, which is perfect when watching movies on the go.

Bad points?

Although portability is the main selling point of such devices, it is also a drawback as the wireless aspect needs power to hold a charge.

Best for …

Those solely invested in portable computers, who will find it invaluable.

Avoid if …

You're reluctant to add yet another gadget that needs charged.
