Carry on Screaming (1966) (ITV3, 3pm)

One of the best in the series has Harry H Corbett (in his only Carry On) as Sergeant Bung, a detective with Sherlock Holmes pretensions investigating some sinister undertakings at a spooky mansion. Fenella Fielding is excellent as the vampish Valeria and there are great scenes with Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Peter Butterworth and Jon Pertwee. Thanks to a great cast and screenplay, along with modestly impressive production design, this ultra low-budget film has gone on to be one of the finest horror comedies in history – and the chemistry between Corbett and Fielding is utterly delightful, especially during their first romantic encounter.

Iron Man (2008) (Channel 4, 9pm)
