Close (Netflix, from Fri)
Noomi Rapace first came to film fans when she played Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish versions of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium trilogy. Written and directed by Vicky Jewson, it’s inspired by the true story of bodyguard Jacquie Davis, who worked as a consultant on the film. Rapace plays counter-terrorism expert Sam, who takes what should be the simple job of protecting Zoe, a rich young heiress. Initially there is friction between them but the pair must learn to work together after an attempt on Zoe’s life which forces them to go on the run and track down the villains themselves.
