GOING DARK: THE MYSTERY OF VANISHING STARS
April 21, from 7pm, free (booking required) If space and the night sky are where your interests lie, this talk from the SETI institute may be more in your orbit. Comparing pictures of the night sky as we see it now with images from 70 years ago, astronomers have discovered that at least 100 stars may have gone dark. Astronomers Beatriz Villaroel and James Davenport will be discussing this finding and what it may reveal about the happenings of the night sky far beyond our planet.
