Glimpse is a portfolio course exhibition from Bridge House Art, featuring works from students aged from 18 to over 70 years old. All of the students made Ullapool their home for the course that started in October last year. Visitors will experience a thought-provoking range of art, using a variety of materials and techniques. BEGINNING A LINE IS BEGINNING A BUILDING: A LIVE ARCHIVE OF TRANSITION

This fascinating exhibition showcases some of the gallery’s recent acquisitions, Some of the works include modern and contemporary sculptures, paintings and films. This two-room display at the Scottish National Gallery marks
100 years since the birth of Joan Eardley, one of the most influential painters of her generation. It offers an insight into her working practice and focuses on works produced in Catterline where she worked in the early 1950s. The works all come from the National Galleries of Scotland’s collection and include nine oil paintings, 11 works on paper and a selection of photos and archive materials as well as some of her most iconic paintings such as Catterline in Winter and Snow. Maps of Catterline featuring the locations where Eardley stood to draw will also be a part of the exhibition, allowing visitors to trace her movements. https://www.nationalgalleries.org/

Unboxed is a celebration of creativity in the UK designed to reach millions and bring people together. The About Us competition encouraged young people across the UK to enter a poem or animation project around the theme of connectivity and the universe. The winning entries will be on display this week, transforming Paisley Abbey into a vast canvas combining awe-inspiring live projection mapped animation with poetry, music and live choral singing. https://paisley.is/
