Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me (STV, 9pm)
moved in with daughter Stevie and granddaughter Hermonie after her husband died suddenly, and the women want to reclaim some space. But when their worldly possessions are laid out at the Southsea pier ballroom, it all becomes too much for Sarah.
Presenter and journalist Julia Bradbury has become a household name, thanks to shows such as Countryfile, Watchdog and Britain’s Best Walks. But this hour-long documentary will show her in a very different and emotional light, as it chronicles her recent battle with breast cancer. It begins in the very early days of her diagnosis, and follows Julia as she comes to terms with the devastating news and prepares for a potentially life-saving single mastectomy. We encounter her and her loved ones both before and after the surgery, and witness how Julia and her immediate family cope with the process of physical and psychological recovery, as well as meeting other families who are facing similar struggles.
Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars (BBC1, 9pm)
The chef tasks his contenders to identify award-winning cheese by taste and smell alone. But there’s a catch: to find the cheese they must navigate through terrifying narrow caves, hundreds of feet below ground. Next, he asks the teams to create healthy snacks for the harshest critics of all – kids. Using ingredients harvested from the breathtaking organic farm, will the contenders do justice to their surroundings?
Chivalry (C4, 10pm)
The smart drama, co-written by Steve Coogan and Sarah Solemani continues. Aston and Bobby aim to reconnect and are surprised to discover they have more in common than they ever could have imagined as they work with Rick on the edit. Elsewhere, Jean convinces Bobby and Cameron that they must fight to save the marketing budget for the film and, on the lot, Cameron has a run-in with an important person from his past, while Bobby is forced to confront hers.
