If you’ve ever wanted to ex­plore be­hind the scenes at Aberdeen city land­mark His Majesty’s The­atre, there’s a clutch of chances ev­ery Sat­ur­day morn­ing in Oc­to­ber as well as fur­ther op­por­tu­ni­ties on No­vem­ber 17 and 24.

Vol­un­teer HMT buffs will lead these 60-minute tours of the orig­i­nal, 111-year-old Ed­war­dian build­ing de­signed by Frank Matcham, as well as tak­ing vis­i­tors through the the­atre’s mod­ern £7.8 mil­lion ex­ten­sion.

There will also be an op­por­tu­nity to get on­stage and see HMT from the eyes of a per­former, and after­wards there is the op­tion to head up­stairs to the the­atre’s 1906 restau­rant for af­ter­noon tea.
