Theatre Night Light

The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen Until December 24

With final performances today and tomorrow at 10.30am and 1.30pm, Night Light is The Lemon Tree’s Christmas show for three to six-year-olds.

Humorous and gentle, it tells of a curious child who cannot sleep after the blackbird has sung to welcome the night.

Who is it that looks after the night?

A theatrical poem set within an installation, Night Light is a collaboration between artists from Denmark, where it premiered last year, and from Scotland, where it is co-produced with Imaginate and Red Bridge and commissioned through the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund.

It is performed by co-creator Andy Manley and features a delightfully engaging and magical soundtrack by Edinburgh-based composer and former children’s book specialist Daniel Padden.
