Having been performed in 11 countries to over seven million people, War Horse returns 11 years after its debut at London’s National Theatre to mark the recent centenary of Armistice Day.
This week begins its first-ever run in Glasgow, with a 34-strong cast and extraordinary life-sized horses performing Nick Stafford’s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s celebrated novel about a boy and his beloved horse Joey who is sold to the cavalry.
Glasgow-born Scott Miller, who recently graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, plays the central role of Albert Narracott and says he “can’t wait to bring this beautiful show to my city”.
