Trauma may lead to psychosis

-

I READ with interest your article “Depression? There’s no such thing” (News Focus, December 30). As a hypnotherapist, childhood trauma and neglect are common experiences of clients I have seen reporting mental health issues. It may be that psychosis is the brain’s response to trauma.

Empowering people so that they feel better able to cope with situations and stresses in their lives can significantly improve their quality of life.
