October 13, 2018

Scott goes to Hot Dub Stein Machine’s Oktoberfes­t event at Gosford House, Longniddry, East Lothian. 10pm: He leaves the venue with his five friends, but gets into an argument and refuses to get on the pre-arranged bus.

10.40: Scott is spotted by an eye-witness staggering down the A198, alone and barely able to stand or talk.

10.50: Police receive a call about concern for a man and pick up Scott shortly afterwards on the A198. 11.20: Scott is dropped off by officers on the outskirts of Port Seton, at the Links View bus stop.

October 14 7.45am:

Scott’s body is discovered on Longniddry Bents beach around a mile from the bus stop by a member of the public. His family are informed.

October 15

Scott’s family are taken by police to where Scott was dropped off, and where his body was found.

December 7

CCTV obtained showing the bus stop location Scott’s family were originally taken to was wrong. Police say this did not affect their investigat­ion but amend the location to a bus stop on the outskirts of Port Seton, closer to the sea.

January 6, 2019

Twelve weeks after Scott’s death, his family are waiting for a post mortem report and answers to their questions.
