Man charged over death

A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a “muchloved dad, brother and fiance”.

Officers were called to Riverside Road in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire, after 2am on Friday where they found a man injured in a house.

The 23-year-old, who later died in hospital, has been named as William Wardrop from the town.

In a statement his family said: “William was a much loved dad, brother and fiance who will be sadly missed by us all. He will remain forever in our hearts.”

The 23-year-old man who was arrested and charged is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.
