Family of dead teen warns of drug dangers

-

THE family of a 15-year-old girl who died after taking a drug overdose has issued a warning to others considering taking recreational substances.

Mollie Nutt went into cardiac arrest after taking MDMA – also known as ecstasy – with her boyfriend in Milton Keynes in July 2018. She was taken to hospital where she later died and a postmortem confirmed the cause to be an overdose of the class A drug.

Dione Grech, 24, who sold the couple £50 worth of the drugs, was jailed for four years and three months on Friday.

Following Grech’s sentence, Ms Nutt’s family urged others to consider the consequences of taking illegal drugs, stating: “We would like to remind people, especially teenagers like Mollie, that you are not invincible when it comes to taking drugs.”
