Assange in ‘grim’ place
The partner of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has described his ongoing incarceration in HMP Belmarsh in south London as “intolerable and grotesque”.
Stella Moris, 38, and the couple’s two children visited Assange in prison for the first time in eight months yesterday.
Ms Moris described the prison as a “grim, horrible place” and said him being locked up “degrades the UK, and it is a threat to press freedom in the UK”.
