First-hand snapshot of life in Ukraine

A NEW pop-up exhibition by David Pratt, Foreign Editor of The Herald and The Herald on Sunday, titled Pictures From Ukraine, features many of his often-harrowing images taken during his visits to the country over many years.

It includes photographs taken during early assignments to eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region in 2014 as pro-Russian separatist forces first came to the fore. The most recent images were taken during the first six months of the war following the Russian invasion in February of this year.

Pictures From Ukraine, in Sogo Arts in Saltmarket, Glasgow, opened on Friday and runs until October 30 from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 5pm.
