Bethell wants True Pleasure from ride

JAMES Bethell is hoping for more success from his consistent mare True Pleasure at Musselburgh on Monday night.

The Middleham raider, who has already scooped two wins this term, faces seven rivals – including six course winners – in the £8,000 Edinburgh Gin Handicap.

“She’s very well and in good order,” Bethell said. “I’d say she has a decent chance. She was second at Catterick to an improving horse in Breakable who has since won again at Chester.

“She’s pretty adaptable for going either right-handed or left handed which is good but she hasn’t got a good draw in stall eight.”

Among the Musselburgh scorers up against True Pleassure are Michael Dods-trained Cara’s Request, Micky Hammond’s Just Paul, Linda Perratt’s Silver Rime and three-time track victor Ralphy Boy.
