War tales are told in art

A GLAS­GOW School of Art third year stu­dent’s work is to form the cen­tre­piece of a new week-long ex­hi­bi­tion com­mem­o­rat­ing the work of the Clyde ship­builders in the First World War ef­fort.

Sam Stop­ford, who is study­ing to­wards a BA honours in paint­ing and print­mak­ing, is among a group of stu­dents who have col­lab­o­rated for the event at the Scot­tish Mar­itime Mu­seum in Irvine, North Ayr­shire.

Vis­i­tors will be able to view the work on dis­play at the Con­struc­tion and De­struc­tion: Re­mem­ber­ing Clyde Ship­builders 1914-1918 ex­hibit, from Satur­day.
