Delayed reaction

I NOTE, with a wry smile, Kevin Scott’s Freudian slip when he mentions the old Glasgow law firm of Maclay Murray and Spend (rather than Spens) (“New leadership team unveiled at Burness Paull, Herald Business, April 16). I started my career in the early 1990s in Glasgow when jibes were more cutting and folks less litigious and the aforementioned firm was jokingly referred to as Delay, Worry and Expense.
