Baths and bedtime stress parents most

-

BATHTIME and getting the children to bed are the typical features of family life.

But they have also topped a list of parents’ biggest stress triggers, along with meal times and doing the weekly food shop.

Also on the list are getting home from work in time to wish children goodnight, knowing the right foods to feed them, finishing homework and minimising screen time. A study of 2,000 mothers and fathers revealed they find themselves stressed out six times a day and believe the age when children peak and become most demanding is five.

The research was carried out by Bpme, a new app which allows customers to pay for fuel without leaving their car, to help reduce the stress of timepressed parents.

Daniel Slater, digital execution manager for BP, said: “Parents have a hard job of getting through the day without losing their cool. With children in tow, the simplest of tasks can seem monumental at times.”
