Tub mother’s deadly cocktail
A WOMAN who died following a hot tub party hosted by Lord Steel’s son was killed by a cocktail of alcohol and cocaine.
Toxicology tests have revealed Claire Mccabe, 44, a mother of one from Haddington, East Lothian, had a mix of the Class A drug and alcohol in her system.
She collapsed at the party on September 1 on Graeme Steel’s 52nd birthday at Mr Steel’s farmhouse in the Borders.
Mrs Mccabe was in a hot tub when she took ill. Police Scotland said it is still investigating the circumstances of the death.
