Mel B’s ‘dark time’ is over

SINGER Melanie Brown, better known as Scary Spice of the Spice Girls, has said she has been through “hell and back” but that she is grateful for Christmas this year.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, she described last festive season as a “very dark time”.

The star said: “I’ve been through hell and back over the last few years. Part of the reason I’m so thankful and joyful about Christmas this year was that last year it was a very dark time for me.”

The 43-year-old recently ended a turbulent marriage to second husband Stephen Belafonte, subsequently releasing a tell-all memoir.
