Former Commons clerk Frank McShane passes away

Former House of Commons clerk Frank McShane has passed away aged 81 on 31 October 2021.

McShane began his parliamentary career in the Serjeant at Arms directorate as a messenger in 1968. He was promoted to the Clerk’s Department, serving the Table Office and various select committees, before retiring in 2005.

His funeral will take place at 1pm, 9 December 2021 at Dorking Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations welcomed for Alzheimer’s Research c/o Sherlock Funeral Service (01306 882266).
