We’re building world-class Ultrafast Full Fibre broadband for the nation as quickly as we can.
We know it’s hugely important for everyone in the UK.
• 83 percent see broadband as an essential day-to-day utility
• Nearly 75 percent believe upgrading the UK’s network must be a national priority
• Upgrading could boost the UK economy by £59bn We have ambitious targets to build to 25 million homes and businesses by December
2026. So far we’re on track - upgrading eight million already, at a rate of over 50,000 a week, ensuring that we’re balancing build in the hardest to reach rural communities where we aim to reach 6.2 million connections.
However, this huge engineering project requires significant resources. For us to keep up the pace or go even faster, we need to continue to recruit and train thousands of engineers and remove barriers that slow us down or make it harder to build. That’s where you can help.
We’re asking for your support by signing up to our Back Better Broadband pledge to help us:
• Remove all road blocks to the roll out
• Recruit high-skilled engineering jobs into the UK
• Advocate upgrading to the full fibre network to deliver its benefits to the nation.
