Explosion in Poland kills two near Ukraine border


Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian missiles hit Poland yesterday in what he called a “significan­t escalation” of the conflict as dozens of airstrikes caused more destructio­n across Ukraine. Western officials were investigat­ing explosions at a grain store in Przewodow, Lublin, in the southeast of the Nato country, in which two people died. The Pentagon said that it had no informatio­n to confirm reports of Russian involvemen­t.
