Keys to your ward robe
Unlock the potential of spring/summer 2013 clothing, with a mix of the new and the re-discovered. Brigit Grant talks you through
IMAGINE FOR a moment what it would be like if we were forced to really follow fashion. Compelled to adhere to each season’s trends, regardless of whether it suited us or not, so that the wearing of minis, maxis, crop tops and skinny jeans was unavoidable, regardless of shape or stature. Fortunately fashion isn’t like that, though designer Karl Lagerfeld would like it to be. He would also like every woman to be a size zero, but we’re not and though each season presents us with a myriad of new looks we have the freedom to choose what we like and disregard what we don’t. As there is really very little happening on the runways that we haven’t seen before, keeping up with trends has never been easier. Chances are that some of spring/summer 2013’s key looks are already in your wardrobe or hidden in a box, but that won’t stop you from buying them all over again. So what should you be dusting down or purchasing this season?
