Sizer links to hate website — yet again
A CHURCH of England vicar has deleted a link on his blog which directed readers to a website featuringHolocaust revisionism and adverts for the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
Reverend Stephen Sizer directed readers to a story on the WindowIntoPalestine site about the BBC’s coverage of Syria.
The article, which alleged the BBC had been “caught out with its Zionist-run propaganda machine”, was followed on the WIP site by a link to an audio version of the notorious antisemitic Protocols of the Elders of Zion. The WIP site advertises it as an “important tome”.
The piece Rev Sizer linked to earlier this month claimed that “the US, UK, Israel and France have their own special forces operating within Syria who are backed up by intel operatives from the CIA, MI5/6 and Mossad”. He deleted the link this week after being alerted to the offensive material.
WIP features writers who refer to the Holocaust as the “Hollowcause”… meant to justify… Jewish power and the rape of Palestine”.
RevSizer, seniorpastorof theAnglican Christ Church in Virginia Water, Surrey, said he was not familiar with the WIP site and had not linked to it before. “I only came across it after conducting a Google image search for the photo by Marco Di Lauro, whichwascentraltotheapparent BBC error which I wished to highlight. Therewasnosuggestionof anyoffensive material in the story to which I linked.”
He said it was “not always possible to run background checks on every website before linking to materials.”
In January, Rev Sizer received the support of the Bishop of Guildford after the Surrey pastor had linked to a different anti-Zionist site.
Fellow Anglican Reverend Nick Howard, who criticised Rev Sizer’s conduct in January, said: “As an ordained Anglican, I’m ashamed that he still remains a minister of the Church of England.”
