He was an inspiration to us, living life to the full, with a selfless nature and brilliant sense of humour. We will cherish our memories of him and love him forever. May he rest in peace alongside his beloved wife Rita.— Robert, Victoria, Isaac, Sophia, Jamie, Melanie, Jack and Mielle.

BAKER.

Clare (née Klara Albina Fränkel). Born Vienna, October 30, 1923. Passed away peacefully at Peterhead Cottage Hospital on November 25, 2012. She fled to England with the Kindertransport, the only survivor of her entire family. Haunted by these memories she created a new life for herself in England. She leaves behind son Norman, daughter-in-law Dorothy, grandchildren Christopher and Esther and great-grandson Aidan. We will miss her terribly but know that Clare, very much a survivor, has finally escaped. A gathering to celebrate Clare’s life is planned for summer 2013.
