AT LEAST five people died and many were injured as the worst storm in 20 years swept the eastern Mediterranean this week.
Three men were killed on Tuesday after their vehicle was apparently blown off the highway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and two women were found dead after their car was swept away by floods in the West Bank.
Many Israelis have been injured as a result of flooding, traffic accidents and falling trees.
Schools across the country have also been closed for the duration of the storm but most were due to re-open on Thursday. The storm will cost businesses an estimated £50 million in damages.
