Eli and Ruth are delighted to announce the birth of their son, Leon Ross (Ephraim Eliezer), on second day Rosh Hashanah (September 6), a brother for Esme. A grandson for Diane and the late Jack Lukeman and a grandson for Louise Samuel and the late Ellis Simon Hillman. Jonathan Alexander, son of Caroline and Raymond, brother of Zach and Kate and grandson of the late Trude and Simon Reiss and Irene and Alfred Esdaile. He was our love and inspiratio­n. He gave us joy. 'His monument shall be our gentle verse' (W.S).

Gershon (Gus). Died September 10 at home. Deeply mourned by his devoted wife Gina. He will be very sadly missed by her, his beloved children David and Claire, daughter-in-law Jackie and dearly loved and loving grandchild­ren Jonathan, Lauren and Daniel. May his dear soul rest in peace.
