Visit Israel for the day — in London
SRAEL COMES to London on November 23, with a chance to enjoy the tastes, sights and sounds of the country at A Taste of Israel expo. The event, at JW3, promises “the ultimate Israel experience without leaving London”. Doors will open at 10.30am and the expo runs until 5.30pm.
A Taste of Israel is sponsored by The Jewish Agency, The World Zionist Organisation, The Ministry of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption and the Jewish Chronicle.
With a special emphasis on aliyah, there will be presentations, workshops and exhibitions and visitors will be able to meet representatives from Israel’s top organisations, learn about the opportunities available in Israel and gather practical tips on making the move. There will be a range of expert consultants on hand, to guide you on matters including finances, property, immigrant benefits, employment, education and more.
It is all designed to make the transition a smooth one — and help you to make personal connections to boost your journey to Israel.
Even if you are not contemplating aliyah, A Taste of Israel is the ideal opportunity to do some research for your next holiday in Israel, for investment opportunities or for planning a family simchah.
Coming along to enjoy the event is also a great way to show your support for Israel.
A Taste of Israel will feature activities and workshops throughout the day. Visitors will be able to taste some of Israel’s finest foods and wines in the demo kitchen; learn culinary secrets from Israeli celebrity chef Or Golan and enjoy a gourmet food and wine presentation by Josh Steele, the British immigrant and star of Israel’s MasterChef television series.
You can also participate in the important discussion about the role of Jewish media in supporting Israel, moderated by Amit Segal, Israel’s Channel 2 anchor-man and featuring Eitan Na’eh, Deputy Ambassador of Israel.
And at the Israel in Full Image photo exhibition, you can relive highlights from Israel’s history and celebrate the impact immigrants have had on Israeli society.
Children aged four to 12 can take part in their very own activity programme, which will be led by the Israeli Scouts.
There will be so many ways to celebrate your love for Israel at A Taste of Israel expo on November 23.
