REGAL TRIUMPH
I beg to differ with the luminaries who say that the present Queen’s reign is less memorable or significant than those of Victoria or Elizabeth, immensely creative as these were.
Despite flaws and setbacks, during the present Queen’s reign there have been spiritual, ethical, medical, scientific and holistic advances that have profoundly affected the life of the nation. The Queen’s own remembrance will surely be in her naturalness, simplicity and dedication.
I believe history will show us to have been witness to a new Elizabethan Age of Enlightenment. Certainly, barring some blips, it has been just that for the Jewish people. At no other time would we prefer to live here. Dr Stanley Jacobs South London
