Raiders pass Blizzard test

- BY JC REPORTER

FOOTBALL ROB Richman insists there is much more to come from his team after North London Raiders started their MGBSFL title defence with a 2-1 victory over Blizzard Storm.

Alex Kaye marked his Raiders debut with a goal just days after joining from Premier Division rivals Faithfold while David Dinkin also registered in a 2-1 success.

Richman said: “We are pleased to mark the start of the season with a win. It was a tough game where Blizzard deserved a lot of credit for the way they defended throughout.

“Simon set his team up superbly and I’m sure he’s really encouraged with how they played.

“We played well in patches but there is a lot more to come for us and I am sure we will show that sooner rather than later.”

Blizzard boss Simon Linden commented: “It was a really positive performance. I’m delighted with the attitude of my boys. They didn’t stop working and stuck to the game-plan throughout.”
