THREE CHARGED WITH JPMORGAN HACKING
THREE JEWISH men, two of them Israeli citizens, are among those charged on Tuesday with hacking the website of JPMorgan Chase & Co in a “breathtaking” theft of hundreds of millions of dollars, compromising information in 83 million customer accounts.
Gery Shalon, Joshua Samuel Aaron and Ziv Orenstein were indicted on 23 counts encompassing the JPMorgan hack along with numerous alleged crimes targeting 12 other companies. “By any measure, the data breaches at these firms were breathtaking in scope and in size,” US Attorney Preet Bharara said.
