Terror-promoters blocked by Twitter
SOCIAL MEDIA platform Twitter has suspended more than 300,000 accounts for promoting terrorism and violence.
“Daily suspensions are up over 80 per cent since last year, with spikes in suspensions immediately following terrorist attacks,” Twitter said in a blog.
Jonathan A Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, said: “With this latest critical move, Twitter has really set the right tone in the fight against nefarious content on its platform. Twitter has taken an important step forward in combating cyber hate. ”
