Reich leave Haroldeans feeling Blue
FOOTBALL described Haroldeans’ the hands of Reich Insurance Rangers Blue as a “wake-up call” as the MJSL leaders were beaten for the first time this season.
Haroldeans had won their first seven matches, but they had no answer to a powerful Reich team who moved to within six points of top spot with six games remaining.
Haroldeans boss Bloomberg said: “We were second best throughout and were beaten by a much better side.
“Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. Both the result and performance were out of character.
“We have started well. But we will have to go back to the drawing board.”
Ben Gardner (2), Gary Freeman, Gabe Silva, Omni Parel and Andy Shaffer were the scorers for Reich.
Reich co-manager Delmonte said: “We have a slim chance of winning the title, although losing some key games last month could have cost us.
“We need some teams to do us a favour while Haroldeans have to slip up.
“It’s not out of the question but it’s a tall order. Whatever happens, we will have a big say in who wins the title. If we can’t win it ourselves, then we’d love Reich White to.
Michael Gaswirth praised four-goal hero Yoni Shadmi after
beat 6-4. Daniel Warwick and Simeon Goodman also weighed in as Leeds suffered their second defeat this season.
Gaswirth said: “Shadmi has been a real find for us. It’s now eight goals for him and he will only get stronger and fitter the longer he plays. He is back from a spell in Israel and has proved an excellent addition.”
Gaswirth believes his team are now raisingexpectationsaswellaseyebrows. “We’veplayedteamswewouldhavefanciedbeatingsotocomethroughagainst Leeds was pleasing,” he said.
“This is a different team now. We are playing with confidence and before long we had scored three quick-fire goals.”
Roy Fux proved the difference as his four-goal salvo saw edge out
in a nine-goal thriller. The derby game sparked to life as man-of-the-match Fux and Harry Margolis found the net.
Anton Radiven’s side hit back via Rafi Dynes (2), Moshe Hasid and Areyeh Barron but it counted for nothing in their 5-4 defeat.
South Manchester 3rd finally broke their duck with a 6-2 win over the second team. Guy Horne (2), Ben O’Healy (2) and Noah Maddison (2) eased them home.
