Hamas,PA seek unity deal again

AFTER DAYS of protests in the Gaza Strip, widespread arrests carried out by Hamas authorities and recriminations between Gaza and Ramallah, the leaders of the two rival Palestinian camps once again announced they were forming a national unity government.

The protests across Gaza, particularly in the large refugee camps, were over lengthening power cuts, which have left much of the Strip dark for nights on end. A young man who set himself alight at one of the protests was taken to hospital with severe burns.

The outages were due to a shortage of diesel at the Gaza power station.

Hamas and the PA have blamed each other for the shortage, which is partly due to an argument over the payment of duties for diesel.

Fatah, which dominates the Palestinian Authority, blamed Hamas but was careful not to take responsibility for the protests.

Despite the disagreements, on Tuesday evening delegations from Fatah and Hamas, who had been at a meeting in Moscow since Sunday, announced they had reached a deal on establishing aunitygovernment.Theagreementhas yet to be ratified in Gaza and Ramallah and is likely to end in acrimony, just like a series of similar deals announced over the last six years.

THE CREATOR of one of America’s most notorious neo-Nazi websites has been unmasked — and he has a Jewish wife.

“Mike Enoch”, the alias by which he was known to his followers, is the founder of

(TRS) a far-right blog, as well as a co-host of

an antisemitic podcast which has around 100,000 listeners a week.

However, last Saturday night, “Enoch” was revealed to be Mike Peinovich, a New York software developer. Despite making regular jokes about the Holocaust and killing Jews on his podcast, Peinovich is married to a Jewish woman. The information was revealed by another neo-Nazi group, known as Baphomet, which had taken offence following a radio argument over whether its members should even speak to Jews.

According to magazine, Peinovich’s wife was fully aware of his involvement, even appearing as an occasional guest on

The magazine added that Peinovich had originally denied being “Mike Enoch”, but later admitted it to followers in a forum on the TRS site, saying: “Yes my wife is who they say she is, I won’t even bother denying it… If this makes you want to leave the movement, or to have nothing to do with TRS, then I understand.”
