Julie V. Gottlieb is a history lecturer whose books include Feminine Fascism: Women in Britain’s Fascist Movement, 1923-1945. As that title suggests, Gottlieb’s field of interest is the interaction between gender and political history. Her latest book is ‘Guilty Women’, Foreign Policy and Appeasement in InterWar Britain (Palgrave, Macmillan, £70).
