A SLICE OF MY LIFE

-

PURIM is all about fancy dress — so why should food miss out on the fun?

This week’s recipes are probably the only way I could get my fusspot children to eat sushi or shakshuka.

Disguise is not all bad though, as I regularly use it to as a tool to feed them a few of their five (now 10) a day.

My tomato pasta sauce generally has at least six types of vegetables lurking, and the same goes for turkey burgers, in which thyme, carrots and red onions are masked by chunks of dried apricot.

Dressing up is a win win: I love pulling a fast one and they happily nosh it all up.

Watch out for fun hamantaschen next week. VP
