ACTION ON ACNE SCARS

If you have acne-prone skin, you could be at risk from scarring, says skin expert Zaheda Hafez of The Laser Treatment Clinic in central London. Some people endure acne from adolescence well into adulthood and scars may form even if you follow all medical advice about not scratching, etc.

Acne scars can be effectively treated with Dermapen adjustable needles. Microneedling can break up fibrous and uneven scar tissue and encourage the growth of new tissue. The needles penetrate the dermis to a controlled depth, with initial results in six weeks. Full benefits may take up to three months to appear. Dermapen keeps the epidermis intact, which quickens heal- Brookes and his team in the vascular surgery department, who introduced endovenous laser ablation for varicose veins to the UK at Middlesex Hospital in 2001. asana
