Hinds hails the Board’s exhibition

EDUCATION SECRETARY Damian Hinds was among the visitors to the Board of Deputies’ Jewish Living Experience exhibition when it was displayed at the Department for Education on Wednesday.

Congratulating the Board on “a really insightful exhibition”, Mr Hinds added: “Understanding other people’s faiths and beliefs is important for a cohesive, tolerant society.

“I welcome any opportunity for the department to further develop its understanding of, and relationships Damian Hinds at the exhibition

with, those groups that form our wonderfully diverse school system.”

Aimed primarily at school parties, the exhibition shows Judaism as a living faith and is in line with the teaching of Judaism in the religious education and citizenship curricula.
