Deputies unplugged

SOME of you may have felt deprived of your Sunday sport last month — watching the live stream of the Board of Deputies’ monthly plenary.

Coverage was pulled, a Board spokesman explained, because of a “technology and insurance review”. Insurance, I understand, includes protection for defamation, in the event that a loose-tongued deputy — perish the thought — says something unwise.

But the Board hopes normal service will soon be resumed.
