TENNIS DUDI Sela has risen to 182 in the ATP rankings following strong performances in Bangkok.
Sela had slipped out of the top 200 but he is on the comeback trail after reaching the final of the Launceston International Challenger, where he was beaten by Henri Laaksonen (121).
The Israeli
Davis Cup star followed it up by reaching the last four at the Bangkok Challenge

(below) where he lost in three sets to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Sela, 33, returned to the tournament circuit last month after being sidelined for six months following wrist surgery. His immediate target will be to continue playing in Challenger tournaments and accumulate enough points to reach the top 105 rankings to gain automatic qualification for the French Open and Wimbledon. In any event, Sela has said he will retire if he is unable to return to the top 100 this year.
